Nick Simmons joined Crown in 2018 as Director, Marketing and Corporate Strategy. He subsequently worked as GM/Sales Director of Oilfield Services before being promoted to his current position of Vice President, Performance Chemicals. He is highly experienced in steering the development and management of the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of business analytics and models that support business growth. Nick received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver.

John Opseth has worked in the coal mining and processing industry since 1979. He joined Crown as PRB Operations Manager in 2012, later rising to VP/GM Sales and Operations for the Western region. Beyond his 40+ years in the mining industry, he has also served as chair of the Gillette, Wyoming planning commission, on its city council, and as Mayor, from 2013 to 2015, of the “Energy Capital of the Nation.”

Doug Schane joined Crown as a Senior Project Manager in 2014 after more than 30 years in the mining and chemical manufacturing industries. His previous experience at Taggart Global and Fenner Dunlop make him exceptional at identifying customers’ needs and delivering solutions. He is a graduate of West Virginia University.
